Creative people are perhaps some of the funnest to work with on a daily basis. With so many angles of attack available to describe the people of Belyea, I resorted to the one I knew best; my own opinion.

My book therefore opens with a healthy disclaimer, safely distancing myself from any accusations of slander, misinformation or downright lies. The pages that follow offer insight into some well-guarded secrets of the lives of those who occupy the yellow walls of Belyea. Keeping the tone playful and humorous was my first goal; forcing fellow employees to place their heads in the scanner produced some rather flattering portraits as well.

Another objective was to avoid the computer as much as possible. Cutting and pasting type; photocopying letterforms up and down produced a book that brought a cringe of disgust from Quark Xpress.
